JUSTIN GIGNAC is an artist, entrepreneur and freelance art director living in New York. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in 2002 he held full time jobs at Ogilvy, Fallon NY and Toy. In early 2007, Justin left full-time agency life to focus on his artistic endeavors, but still dabbles in the ad world as a freelancer.
Gignac sits on the Board of Directors for Agencies in Action, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to unite people in the ad community and their talents to help fight hunger throughout New York City.
His work has been recognized by the One Show, D&AD, the Art Directors Club, the Andy Awards and the London International Advertising Awards. Justin was named one of Creativity Magazine’s “Young Creatives to Watch” and in 2006 was honored as a “Young Gun” by the ADC. But closest to his heart is when he was named “Best Eastern League Mascot” at the 1998 AA Baseball All-Star Game for his compelling portrayal of Tater the Gator.
